SHOOTING THE FIRST VISIONISTE CONCEPT COVER
Visioniste Magazine is a concept that I had thought of maybe 4 years before and to be honest we are in midst of creating content so for me this is the project that I am personally working on.
I am a little tired of seeing online magazines which no longer refelct the super days of Italian Vogue and othe such powerfully image laden magazines. This is my counter offer to the bland faceless London look in doorways or people just walking aorund London wothout conviction. The style of photography is bland, boring and to be honest anyone can shoot it on automode!!
My creative concept is to bring back the skill of creative lighting and photography that I love and inspires my avantgarde style of shooting when capturing my own projects, such as the images of Steven Klein, Demarchalier, Watson and my all time favourite Peter Lindbergh
The use of LED was perfect for me as I find with flash that the settings can be a little too fiddly. If you understand how to use LED lighting then you can be quickr and cheaper in captuing these images. The use of gels is quite popular with Lindsay Adler creating many shots. I like them but don’t like to use them too often.
Romero Bryan was the designer and our full team made it a simple capture process.
A few pictures from behind the scens are always interesting and shows Phil my assistant for this shoot really getting inot the shot mindset.
I have included below some of the intial concept covers we are thinking of using. The whole style of the magazine is to be high end Couture with a Fine Art bias. Photogrpahy and Fine Art will also be featured to make this publication quite a desireable art book to keep on your shelf.
